Velociriffer started in 2019 in Pueblo Colorado when best friends Tyle Drury and Diego Rodriguez, who had played in several bands together prior decided they wanted to play heavy metal once more. The knew right away who their drummer would be, Bill Elenga, who had also played on several projects with them. Finally to round out the lead guitar, Alex Jefferson was brought on who was another best friend of the group. 
SInce then the band has played a variety of heavy metal genres with each song sounding unique and exciting. Velociriffer brings heavy riffs and meshes melodic and dance grooves for a fun sound. This can be found in the band's first EP entitled "Reptile Dysfunction."
The songs are often about what Diego refers to as "modern mythology," with songs about Kratos from "God of War" video game or about the behemoth known as Godzilla. While the band takes the music very seriously, the subject matter of each song is often more fun. 
Velociriffer recently released it's first full length album entitled "Jur-ass-ic Beer."
